About the Award

The NFPBA’s Marks of Excellence Award is given to an African American public administrator with extraordinary success in the field of public management and a significant dedication to their community. This award is the NFBPA’s highest honor and recognizes those that have:

Performed several acts of public service which benefit the greater community
Exhibited exemplary leadership and ethical qualities that have inspired those associated with him/her to strive for excellence in performance and service
